Happy Wednesday November 16th, 2011

Well, it has been a pretty good week.  We were prepared for a huge meltdown and fight on Monday and it didn't happen.  Small fit yesterday, we will see how today goes.  Steven is really wanting to go camping, he is talking about it non stop.  I was proud of him on Monday night.  I asked him where he worked that day and he told me Pasta Fare.  I asked him what they made and he told me blueberry muffins.  The paper from Monday came home last night and that is what they made.  It is so wonderful to finally have interactive conversations about what happens at school.  I didn't know if I would ever get that.  Brings tears to my eyes again this morning.  We are doing pretty good diet wise.  Bryan is doing better than me.  He and UJ joined a gym over at Fairview Heights and are exercising well.  Bryan bought a kettle bell for home.  I am using it a little, it is amamzing how out of shape I am.  Going to try and do a little every day though.  Well, take care and God bless.

Well it has been an up and down week.  Steven has been really sick with his allergies, but doing better.  He had a decent ride over Monday, threw a huge fit on Tuesday and beat up poor UJ, and yesterday he was good.  He seems to be in good spirits this morning, so hopefully it will be another good day.  He hasn't been eating lunch this week, but that could just be the allergies.  I know a lot of other people are struggling with it right now and it isn't fun. Take care all and have a blessed day.

Quite a long weekend.  Steven usually takes a nap on Saturday and Sunday, but not this weekend.  He spent the time whining at me wanting my constant attention.  He really didn't want to go to school today.  Not a big fit, but he was kicking some as they pulled out of the drive.  I know what the problem is though.  Allergies!  Mine are hitting hard as well.  You can tell in his eyes, that he is having trouble.  Unfortunately for him, not something that he can stay home for.  Hopefully, the meds will kick in soon and he will feel better.  I guess I need to try and find a liquid allergy medicine that has pain reliever in it as well.  Here to the boy feeling better.  Have a blessed day.

Not a real happy morning.  For whatever reason, Steven is back to not wanting to go to school.  Monday and today, I have sent them off with Steven throwing a fit.  Not as big as before, but a fit none the less.  Today was worse than Monday.  I have put off doing a blog this week hoping for cheerier news.  Steven has been very happy at home, so there is that.  On way of my diet, I have done no tracking of anything at all.  I need to get back into it all.  Hopefully I can get back on track in the next couple of weeks after getting back to the doctor later this week.  To those whose morning has been harder than mine, I will keep you in prayer.  To those whose morning has been better than mine, I will tell God thank you for blessing you.  Take care and God bless.

Happy Wednesday Oct 19th, 2011

Realized I hadn't blogged this week.  Steven has had a good week!  He has been so happy.  Bryan and I have been talking it has been probably years since we have seen him like this.  It is nice to have my boy back.  I am sure we will have more battles in the future, but together with God leading the way, we will takle it and win.  UJ decided to start bringing PS1 for Steven to play Tony Hawk on in the van.  The boy is going overload with that and the satellite back on this week.  I just have to say thank you God for being there with us through it all.  Take care and God bless.

Happy Wednesday Oct 12th, 2011

Well, the morning didn't go to bad considering we just got back from camping yesterday.  He was fine up until time to close the van door.  I know he was throwing and hitting some, just not sure how long it will last.  We had a really good trip.  Steven was whining and couldn't make up his mind where he wanted to be, but no fits.  There were a few kicks, but nothing major.  He didn't even throw a huge fit on the way home yesterday.  We found some good gluten free food again at the Kroger in Pigeon Forge, so I will need to try and see if Barb can get them at Claybank.  I can't think of anything else, so have a blessed day!

It's been a pretty good week.  We have been going out before UJ gets here and he is fine.  Unfortunately I found out Steven broke UJ's laptop on Friday during the fit, so I need to get that fixed.  The truck is in the shop getting the starter fixed.  It's a good thing we got our first good check from the district, it is going to be an expensive week.  I just thank God that I can afford the stuff now.  There are some people that would just be out.  Take care and have a blessed day.

Well, it was a pretty good weekend and morning.  Looks like the benefit for Phil Clodfelter has raised over $9,000 for the family.  Steven was in a pretty good mood, which made it easier for me to be gone a lot this weekend.  Saturday for the benefit and on Sunday night I was able to go to the Peter Frampton concert for free!  It was great the man can still sing and play beautiful guitar!  Yes, he has lost the hair, but still so good looking.  Steven was a little whiney this morning, but went out to wait for Uncle Jeff in the van.  So no fight this morning.  My diet was shot this weekend with all the happenings, try to get back on track today.  I hope you all had a good weekend and a blessed day!

Not so Happy Friday September 30,2011

Well, I was worried there might be negative effects of Jenn going with them.  We had to drag and carrying him most of the way to the van this morning because Jenn wasn't going.  And no Jenn, you don't need to go everyday.  He also had about 2 degrees of fever. They left about 15 minutes late and he is throwing a fit, but they are on there way.  I am also in a good bit of pain this morning.  My neck hurts bad and fighting the boy didn't help.  Here's to him making it to school with minimal damage to Dad and UJ.  Have a blessed day.

Well, pretty good morning overall.  Boy woke up happy and got on the van really good.  Of course I am sure the fact that Jenn came with Uncle Jeff to ride with them helped.  My blood sugar level was decent this morning and I am down 5 lbs.  So I am definitely happy on this Thursday.  It has been a good week for Steven he has been getting on the van with minimal whining.  He is still being nice to UJ as they go down the road.  I hope everyone who reads this will go to the benefit this weekend for Phil Clodfelter.  There is a dinner and silent auction going on.  Please let me know if you need more details.  Have a blessed day!

Well, they are off!  Good start to the week.  He was kinda cranky this weekend so I wasn't sure what today would hold.  He wanted me to take him everywhere.  IGA, Garage Sale, Wal-Mart, library and others.  I guess he wasn't wanting to be a homebody this weekend.  I am feeling some what better, blood sugar levels decent.  Not going to go out and walk today. I figure I will get enough exercise out in the warehouse today.  Trying to document and organize all of the show materials.  I am so excited! Not!  Have a happy and blessed day!!!!  And that I mean!

I am happy to say, that the mornings are becoming redundant.  The only thing that was really different at my house is I let Stumpy come in for a while.  She is sitting on my lap purring away as I type.  Blood glucose levels not very good today.  I need to stay away from the candy.  I also need to get rid of the stress.  We will see how that goes today.  I think I will leave here in a few minutes and try to get a walk in.  That is what I really need to start doing.  So, with that I will leave you and get ready to put Stumpy back out and get out of here.  Take care and God bless.

Another good morning.  We worried for a few minutes.  Steven was carrying around the calendar wanting me to erase it and make it be October.  He went out to the van though before Uncle Jeff got here and was fine with climbing back in with him.  Of course, he had to get out and tell Jenn good morning and tell her "I love you".   I haven't done my blood glucose yet.  I didn't eat much last night though, I was feeling pretty rough.  My head still hurts, but I think I can eat and not be sick.  Well, here's to a better day and a happy one!  Take care and God bless.

Another good morning

Today was a little touchier than yesterday.  Steven is so ready to go to the mountains again.  Hopefully, we can get it all together in October.  BTW, Steven did great in the van yesterday.  He didn't hit or kick Uncle Jeff any!  :)  Diet not that great yesterday, but my blood glucose levels weren't to bad.  It was still a little high at 139, but I was expecting worse.  Be careful and have a blessed Happy Tuesday!!!

A long time

Not sure when the last time I blogged.  It has been a wild year.  Things seem to be settling down.  Today was the best first day of the school week he has had this year.  I actually think Uncle Jeff may get there without being beat up to much.  I would be surprised if he is completely in the clear.  Weight wise, I'm about the same.  My diet has changed dramatically since last on here.  I have cut out nightshades.  Basically, potatoes, tomatoes and peppers.  There are other items, but those are the ones that are hitting me. 

I am going to try and blog every morning after Steven leaves for school.  So, we will see how this goes.  Take care and HAPPY MONDAY!

Steven had a rough day today.  He hasn't been feeling all that well today.  Bryan said he cried for about 20 minutes while I was out shopping today.  He has a runny nose and a cough, possible fever.  I haven't gotten the thermometer out yet to check it.  The other stuff calls for cold meds, so he is getting Tylenol with that. 

Well, tomorrow Bryan heads to Edwardsville until sometime Wednesday.  He has to go learn the electronic log books for Schneider before he starts driving again.  Not looking forward to it, especially with a child that doesn't feel very good.  This will also be a test for our cat George.  He is a big baby and loves Bryan.  I don't know how he will handle this either.

My diet has gone pretty good for the weekend thus far.  Still need to get the exercising in there.  My wrist/thumb is feeling better after the shot from Dr. Pete.  Dr Devenicia should be back Monday and hopefully, I will get my ultrasound results then.  I will be calling if I don't hear by 3 pm.  I won't get to church tomorrow as Bryan will be leaving by that time.  I was sick last week.  Missing my church family!  I saw them some on Friday, but not the same.  I think that is it for tonight.

Steven had a rough time during art yesterday and today.  Some days are ok with art but generally he doesn't like it.  He is with Grandma right now so Bryan and I can go to a visitation.  He conned her into taking him to McDonalds.  Bryan is getting ready to go to Edwardsville for training.  My days are going pretty good, not much to say.  Can't think of a lot to say, so I will go.

Steven has been pretty vocal the past couple of days.  Lots of squealing and I'm not enjoying it very much.  Pretty good at school, played basketball in PE today.  He isn't very happy though with having to wear a coat again.  It was quite a big todo this morning.  I let him take off when he got on the van.  He is ready for warm weather no doubt. 

Bryan is going back to work for Schneider.  Not thrilled, but we will survive.  He leaves Sunday to go to Edwardsville for a few days on some training.  His going back to driving will throw Steven off some, but I think it will be okay.  He is definitely bored around here.  He did some dishes and vacuuming for me today. 

My diet is going pretty good, other than tonight.  We were at McDonalds and the Shamrock shakes are back!  I will have to stay away.  I didn't blog last night as my hand hurt very bad.  With me not being able to take pain killer or anti-imflammatory, they gave me a cortisone shot for my trigger thumb.  When the numbness wore from the freezing, it hurt bad and I didn't feel like doing anything with my hand.  It is feeling better, but I think the typing and game playing on the internet tonight is starting to get to it.  My doctor will be back next week, so I will get the results from my ultrasound.  I am anxious to get the results and see what is going on and getting on the right track. 

I am asking that you keep the Foerster family in your prayers.  John passed away today.  There cause is not yet known.  Winnie, Mike, Rusty, Dalton and everyone else, I am thinking & praying for you guys.  Love you!

Steven had a pretty good day.  He woke up about 5:30 and we went and got McD for breakfast. He was happy as today is the day he gets to watch Word Girl.  I had to get out of bed and come in the living room and watch it with him.  His allergies were acting up again, so he ended up taking a nap this afternoon.

I woke up not feeling great, so I missed church this morning.  Which is why I was around for Word Girl.  I almost passed out going back to bed when it was over.  After lunch, I took a nap with Steven and am feeling pretty good now.  Pretty good day diet wise.   I actually went shopping yesterday, so I have better choices at home.  I want to take a moment to ask you all to keep my friend Tami in your thoughts and prayers.  She has found out she has stage 1 cancer.  She is a wonderful woman and inspires me every time I see her online or in person.  Love you Tami and remember that God is with you as well as all of us at church.

Today was long but short.  Steven woke up at 3:30, but I got him back to sleep and he slept until almost 7 o'clock.  He is already asleep thus, it was short.  However, he has been mad all day because I won't take him to the swimming pool.  Warm weather=swimming in my son's mind.  He has been very cranky about it.  Thankfully he didn't get to physical in expressing himself today.  Hopefully tomorrow he will be better, but I doubt it.

Diet has gone okay today.  Still working on it, but I am getting there.  Woke up with my thumb really acting up.  I am planning on sleeping with heat on it tonight, so hopefully it won't be so bad in the morning.  Not much else to talk about so have a good night.

Steven had a pretty good day at school.  He has a regular weekend as they will be making up a snow day on Monday.  Not to bad here.  He missed some regular meds this morning, so he was a little off come bedtime, but he fell asleep just a little later than usual.  Hopefully we can get him out in the yard some this weekend get some energy out of him.

Bryan woke up with a major sinus headache.  After Steven left, he went back to bed and slept for over 3 hours.  Of course our cats George and Stumpy made sure he had company.

Diet wise not great today.  I thought I ordered baked fish, but got deep fried.  So the gluten is getting to me some.  Left work around 10 am with my wrist/thumb hurting so bad I was crying.  Put heat on it for several hours and it is feeling much better now.  It felt like the day has gone on forever.  Little tif at work, but that is taken care of.  So nice to have friends that will let you overreact and still care for you.  Going to try and get my house work some what caught up this weekend.  Hopefully it actually happens.  I am not planning on being on facebook to much with the hand trouble I am having.

Well, my boys are asleep.  Bryan didn't sleep well last night and had to go to Princeton early this morning.  The drive went well and we are very hopeful of him getting that job.  Thankfully he didn't wake up Steven when he left at 4:30.  I got to sleep in until 6 am.  I love those days.

Steven's allergies are still acting up and he was pretty cranky today.  Main reason being I wouldn't take him swimming at the pool.  In his mind, a warm day equals swimming.  And it was so nice today.  He did pretty good at the doctor's office today.  Dr. Hawley was very nice and Steven seem to do fine with having a different doctor.  At least this time.  He has only gained 4 lbs since November and has grown an inch or so as well. 

I did pretty good eating wise today.  Helps not being at work and away from the candy.  I need to get to the grocery store and get some better food choices here.  I hope to do that soon.  Time isn't always on my side.

Steven is in bed and not feeling all that great.  His allergies have been awful tonight.  A day of no school will probably do him good tomorrow.  He has a doctors appointment, so he can rest some.  He is going to the psychiatrist.  He had the same one for over 13 years and now he has a new one.  Hopefully it won't be to bad tomorrow.  I have told him that we are seeing Mr. Hawley.  He had a really good day at school.  There were no non compliances.  He even completed his work in art with no prompting!  Art is one of his least favorite classes. 

I was hoping to maybe sleep in tomorrow, but Bryan has to be in Princeton for a driving test for the company he applied with at 6 am.  That means Steven will be up when Bryan leaves.  I don't forsee him sleeping through it even though there probably won't be much noise.

My eating is getting better everyday.  Sweets are so hard to get off of.  I am still not drinking pop and even ate fruit as my side dish at supper.  I am trying to take baby steps as much as possible as to not overwelm myself with to many changes.  I really got to get the exercising in as well, just haven't yet.

Hello

This is a new thing that I am going to try for two reasons.  One, keep people up to date of life with Steven.  Two, I am going to document how my weight loss is going. 

For those of you who don't know, Steven is my 16 year old son.  Steven has autism.  He attends Illinois Center for Autism in Fairview Heights which is 2 1/2 hours from our house.  He travels back and forth every day.  He loves being outdoors especially riding his bike with Daddy or going on a hike.  His very favorite thing outside is swimming.  The boy loves water.  He loves music and watching children's cartoons.  Current favorite I would say is Word Girl. 

Weight loss... sigh.  I have a whole array of health problems.  They got pretty serious lately and I have to get it together.  I am hoping to have this as a document for me to see and maybe some support or butt kicking when needed.  Nothing else has helped yet, so I thought I would try a different approach.
